Going to places can be intimidating the first time of two. We understand that can especially be true when attending a church because everything is a little unfamliar, so we want to make sure you feel comfortable.
If you're coming to New Beginnings for the first time, here's some information to help you feel at home:
- We talk a lot about being family at New Beginnings. But not some crazy, disfunctional family. We try to make sure no one has to wear a "mask" or pretend to fit in here. Please come exactly as you are. We all have problems—real people do—so don't feel like you need to hide yours if you don't want to.
- If you have kids, you'll love our children and youth programs. We make sure all young people have the chance to develop and grow in a warm and friendly environment. There are classes on Sunday mornings for children from todler to sixth grade and a separate mentoring program for teenage youth who are interested.
- Attending a worship service on Sunday mornings is a great way to learn about the overall atmosphere at New Beginnings, but it's only a start. Disovering your place in a healthy community is what is even better, so we offer small group opportunties (LifeGroups) and service opportunities as well to create connection.
- One of the first questions people often ask when coming to a new church is typically, "What do I wear?" Honestly, we don't care. We dress pretty casually at New Beginnings, and you just want you to be comforatable and be your authentic self—nothing more is expected. That's why we say, "Come as you are!"
